The latest graduates of Sustainable South Bronx’s job training programs received their certificates on July 20, allowing them to test the waters in the green economy. 33 students graduated from the BEST Eco (Bronx Environmental Stewardship Training) and BEST for Buildings programs, which train students of all ages for work in fields like bioremediation, environmental cleanup, solar thermal technology and tree pruning. The 3 1/2-month session that just ended was the twentieth for the BEST programs in all.
