The Point has harvested its first crop from its garden tended by the teens of Action in a raised bed next door to Hunts Point Riverside Park. Fifty heads of lettuce will go to the new Hunts Point CSA Farmshare.
The guardians of Park 52 rescued one of their own from being buried in potter’s field. Butch Kelley’s remains will be cremated and his ashes kept in an urn in the park he helped revive and maintain, said Al Quinones, of 52 People for Progress.
