Borough president Ruben Diaz Jr. has appointed ten new members to Community Board 2.
The board represents Hunts Point and Longwood in an advisory capacity on issues ranging from land use and housing to schools and jobs. Applicants must live or work in the community.
The new appointees are Stephanie Aum, Barbara Alicea, Alexa Campos, Patrick Delices, DaShawn Williams, Ivette Jimenez, Cedric McClester, Rev. Reggie Stutzman, Melissa Lomba, and Peter Jose Serrano.
They will join 18 serving board members whom Diaz reappointed. They are Ralph Acevedo, Dr. Ian Amritt, John Calderone, Mildred Colon, Roberto Crespo, Altagracia Cruz, Alexi George, Jesse C. Harris, Richard Izquierdo, Barbara Lopez, Rev. Moses Oladosu, Janine Pressley, Marta Rivera, Larry Robinson, Olga Rosario, Richard Sherman, John Udo-Okon.
John DeRiggs was the only board member who applied for reappointment who was turned down.
